Zach Braff and Donald Faison share a deep friendship that extends far beyond their nine-season run on the medical comedy Scrubs. Their bond is well-known among fans, who recognize them not just as co-stars but as close friends.
During a recent appearance on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Braff was challenged by host Jimmy Kimmel to name all six of Faison's children. In the clip below, Braff quickly recalls the names of the first three kids—Kobe, Dade, and Kaya—followed by Wilder and Rocco. However, when it came to the sixth child, Braff admitted he couldn't remember the name, saying, "That one's the most grown, and I don't know his name. I'm sorry."
Faison, showing his characteristic patience, responded, "It's all right. His name is Sean."
Faison, known for his roles in Clueless and Felicity, shares his two youngest children, Wilder and Rocco, with CaCee Cobb, whom he married at Braff’s home in December 2012. His children Kobe, Dade, and Kaya are from his late ex-wife Lisa Askey, while Sean's mother is his former partner Audrey Ince.
The close friendship between Faison and Braff began even before Scrubs premiered in 2001. Faison recounted meeting Braff at a Scrubs table read, where they discovered their shared sense of humor. After the first season, they decided to room together in New York while both were appearing in summer shows.
Faison humorously noted, "I realized he was my best friend when we were in the living room playing ping pong in our underwear. I was like, 'You're my best friend! Look at us!'"
Fans can catch Braff and Faison’s (fully clothed) appearance on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire on Wednesday, August 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
