Zachary Levi addresses career "cancellation" rumors, defending his Trump support and controversial comments, while facing backlash from colleagues and fans.

Zachary Levi, star of Shazam, recently addressed claims that his career was "canceled" during an appearance on Bill Maher's Club Random podcast. Maher suggested that Levi's support for Donald Trump had hurt his Hollywood career, but Levi denied it, laughing and questioning whether he had actually been canceled. He expressed that if it happens, it happens, but emphasized that he hadn’t seen any impact on his ongoing projects yet.

Maher pushed further, asking if Levi had lost jobs due to his endorsement of Trump. Levi responded that none of his projects had been affected and that none of the producers or studios behind his work had distanced themselves from him. He acknowledged that he couldn't predict future consequences but insisted that nothing had changed for now.

Despite this, Levi hinted that his team might eventually inform him of negative repercussions. Maher, unconvinced, jokingly stated that he thought Levi had already been canceled, but the actor stood firm in his position.

Levi, a supporter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has made headlines in recent years for his controversial opinions. He previously criticized the SAG-AFTRA strike, though he later walked back those comments. He also faced backlash when he agreed with a tweet questioning Pfizer's role in the world, which sparked significant controversy.

More recently, Levi made headlines for politicizing the death of Gavin Creel, a popular actor, by suggesting Creel’s death would not have occurred had he not taken the COVID-19 vaccine. This remark sparked outrage, especially after Creel passed away from cancer at the age of 48.

Levi’s comments about Creel’s death were heavily criticized, particularly by Norbert Leo Butz, who accused Levi of exploiting Creel's memory to push an anti-vaccine agenda. Butz expressed disappointment in Levi, stating that it was heartbreaking to see the actor use a deceased person’s legacy for his personal platform.

Laura Benanti, who worked with Levi on Broadway, also condemned his actions, sharing her own unpleasant experience working with him. She expressed frustration over Levi’s behavior, claiming he drained the energy in the room and often tried to "mansplain" others' parts, further fueling criticism of the actor.
