The artist formerly known as Kanye West, now called Ye, is embroiled in ongoing legal issues related to hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Lauren Pisciotta, a former assistant to Ye, has alleged that she was drugged and sexually assaulted during a studio session that Diddy co-hosted. In an amended complaint obtained by PEOPLE, Pisciotta accuses her former employer of "sexual battery," claiming he served her a drink laced with drugs. Notably, she does not accuse Combs of any wrongdoing in her lawsuit against West.
These allegations are part of a previous wrongful termination lawsuit Pisciotta filed against Ye, where she claimed to have received explicit texts, pornographic photos, videos, and phone calls from him prior to her dismissal.
A legal representative for Ye has dismissed Pisciotta's wrongful termination claims as "baseless," arguing that she attempted to "coerce employment and other benefits" through sexual advances and later engaged in blackmail when those advances were rejected.
This situation adds to Ye's growing list of legal troubles. Earlier this year, a former employee from Ye's Donda Academy and Yeezy brand filed a lawsuit alleging racism, homophobia, antisemitism, and harassment against both students and staff. The plaintiff, Trevor Phillips, claims he experienced sexual harassment from Ye and was subjected to repeated humiliation and abuse without receiving any severance pay after the academy closed.
As for Diddy, the 54-year-old is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail following a not-guilty plea to charges that include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and prostitution-related offenses. He is also facing sexual assault lawsuits from 120 other individuals, represented by attorney Tony Buzbee.
Diddy's attorney, Erica Wolff, has denied all allegations against him. "As Mr. Combs' legal team has stressed, he cannot respond to every unfounded claim in what has turned into a reckless media circus," Wolff stated. "Mr. Combs emphatically denies any accusation of sexual abuse, including towards minors, and looks forward to proving his innocence in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation."
