Former Bachelor contestant Joey Graziadei is eagerly anticipating cheering on fellow Bachelor Nation star Jenn Tran, as both join the cast of Season 33 of Dancing With the Stars. Graziadei, who spoke at a recent press event for the reality show, expressed his full support for Tran, saying, "It's amazing. I'm just going to support Jenn fully."
Tran, who competed for Graziadei’s affection during his season of The Bachelor, later faced a heartbreak on The Bachelorette. She revealed during the live finale that her fiancé ended their engagement soon after filming concluded. Despite this, Tran swiftly transitioned to Dancing With the Stars, making it to the show’s live cast reveal just hours after filming the finale.
Graziadei and Tran are the latest Bachelor alums to make the leap from one ABC series to another. They join a notable roster of former contestants, including Trista Sutter, Sean Lowe, and Hannah Brown, who have previously appeared on the show.
Graziadei has sought guidance from Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko, who have shared their experiences from competing on the dance floor. Lawson, who finished in fourth place on Season 32, and Olubeko offered valuable advice, which Graziadei and his fiancée, Kelsey Anderson, found helpful.
Graziadei, a tennis professional, is confident his athletic background will aid his performance. He previously showcased his dancing skills with a flamenco routine on a Bachelor date. "Don’t judge me by flamenco," Graziadei joked, noting that his dance partner, Jenna Johnson, rated him a 6 out of 10. He believes his agility from tennis will be an asset, and Johnson has been pleasantly surprised by his flexibility.
The duo has begun rehearsals for the upcoming season, with Graziadei commending Johnson for making him feel at ease. Dancing With the Stars Season 33 will debut on September 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available on Hulu the following day.
