The Devil Wears Prada Stars Reunite for a Night at the 2024 SAG Awards

A Devil Wears Prada cast reunion is sure to excite fans. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt—the stars of director David Frankel's 2006 hit comedy—will reunite as presenters at the 2024 SAG Awards this Saturday.

Seventeen years ago, Streep was nominated for a SAG Award for her role as the ruthless magazine editor Miranda Priestly, a character inspired by Lauren Weisberger's novel, which itself was influenced by her time working under Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Hathaway played Andy, an aspiring journalist who becomes Priestly's assistant, much to the amusement, horror, and disruption of Priestly's staff, including characters played by Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and Gisele Bündchen.

The film received two Oscar nominations—one for Patricia Field's costume design and another for Streep's performance—and earned $327 million at the global box office. It has since become a modern classic, known for breaking down gender barriers in Hollywood workplace films.

Streep mentioned in a 2021 interview with EW that the film's success on a smaller budget showed that a "chick flick" could appeal to a broad audience, including men who related to the struggles of a misunderstood company leader.

Streep, Hathaway, and Blunt—who is nominated this year for her role in Oppenheimer—will appear at the SAG-AFTRA union's annual awards show, held at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall. This year's ceremony will be the first to stream live on Netflix's main platform, after the awards debuted on Netflix's YouTube channel last year, following a long partnership with TNT and TBS.

The 2024 SAG Awards will stream live on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Netflix.
