Jared Padalecki is making a swift return to television following the end of his CW series Walker. He has secured a new part in CBS's Fire Country.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Padalecki, famous for his role in Supernatural, will guest star as Camden in a three-episode arc during the upcoming third season of Fire Country. Camden is portrayed as a Southern California firefighter with a cool, surfer attitude who immediately spots the potential of Bode, played by Max Thieriot.
The cast of Fire Country also includes Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Stephanie Arcila, Jordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer. The show follows Thieriot’s character, a young prisoner who joins a firefighting team in hopes of earning redemption and a lighter sentence. The new season is set to premiere on October 18.
Padalecki might not stop there, though. Eric Kripke, the creator of The Boys and a previous collaborator with Padalecki on Supernatural, has hinted at a possible role for him on his acclaimed superhero series. Kripke mentioned that while the exact details are still pending, their schedules might line up for a future role.
Padalecki has shown enthusiasm for joining The Boys if the opportunity arises, which could lead to a reunion with Jensen Ackles, his former co-star from Supernatural who played Soldier Boy in the third season of The Boys.
