Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga’s Electrifying Performance in the Joker: Folie à Deux Trailer

The new trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux offers a thrilling preview of the film's blend of musical and bloody elements, featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. With the film's release just two months away, the trailer dives into the shared psychosis of Phoenix’s Joker and Gaga’s Harley Quinn, who join forces to seek revenge on Gotham City, which they believe has wronged them.

The trailer begins with Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck being transported to Arkham Asylum. He discovers, via a surveillance feed, that his latest victim is chained up in a basement. As he bonds with Gaga’s Harleen Quinzel, a fellow inmate with musical talents, she sings "Get Happy" to inspire him before they embark on their chaotic spree.

Harley’s lines reveal her sense of connection to Joker, followed by scenes of escalating violence, including Joker using a mallet to attack a judge. The trailer also highlights the film’s musical influences, reminiscent of past movie musicals like The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and La La Land.

Director Todd Phillips has emphasized that music plays a crucial role in the sequel, maintaining some elements from the first film but adding new dimensions.
