Rumors suggest Nintendo Switch 2 may miss its early 2025 launch, with developers not expecting a release this fiscal year. Stay tuned for updates.

Nintendo Switch 2 might not debut until after March 2025, with developers reportedly informed not to anticipate a release within the current fiscal year.

According to an update by GamesIndustry's Chris Ding, no developers expect the Nintendo Switch 2 to launch this fiscal year, as they’ve been advised against it. Although some hope for an April or May 2025 release, the exact timing remains uncertain.

A delayed release is concerning, especially since the system's hardware has been ready for some time. NVIDIA officials are also puzzled by the delay. A 2024 launch would have already made the console somewhat outdated, and a 2025 release could worsen this issue.

On the positive side, a launch in the next fiscal year might allow Nintendo more time to produce sufficient units and ensure availability in stores. This was previously highlighted as a major focus.

The Nintendo Switch 2 has not yet been officially announced. Stay tuned for more updates as details emerge.
