Shakira addresses disrespect from a fan at a Miami nightclub while celebrating her upcoming single. Discover her latest album and tour details here!

Shakira made it abundantly clear that she will not stand for disrespect after seemingly catching a fan filming up her skirt at a nightclub in Miami.

The acclaimed singer, known for her hit "Hips Don’t Lie," performed at LIV nightclub over the weekend, where she was seen filming a video with fellow stars Winnie Harlow, Anitta, Lele Pons, and Danna to celebrate her upcoming single, "Soltera."

In videos shared by fans, Shakira can be seen smiling and dancing, enjoying the cheers from the audience. However, the atmosphere changed when she focused her attention on someone in the crowd. She pointed and waved her finger at them, signaling them to stop, and gestured as if to say, “I see you.”

After adjusting her dress to ensure she was properly covered, Shakira continued to dance. Yet, she appeared to be still irritated moments later when she indicated for the music to stop and walked off the stage.

Representatives for Shakira did not provide comments to Entertainment Weekly, and she has yet to address the incident on her social media platforms. Meanwhile, fans have expressed their outrage, with comments like “People are GROSS” and inquiries about the importance of consent.

Despite this incident, Shakira is having an exciting year in her music career. In March, she launched her 12th studio album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, followed by the announcement of her 2024 Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which will kick off in Palm Desert, California, on November 2.

This year also saw Spanish authorities conclude their investigation into alleged tax fraud involving the singer. In May, prosecutors asked a Spanish court to drop the case due to insufficient evidence, a request that the court approved. The investigation began in July, alleging that Shakira utilized an offshore company to evade taxes amounting to €6.6 million ($7.2 million) in 2018. She reportedly settled the outstanding amount shortly after, having already resolved another tax-related issue with the Spanish government six months prior.
